As we know Tabligh Jammat was founded by Great Islamic scholar Muhammad Ilyas al-Kandhlawi in Mewat, India in 1926. And His goal was to establish “true” Islam as Prophet Muhammad (PUB) and His companion established 1400 years ago. He used to said, “Oh Muslims, become true Muslims”.
Ilyas Kandhlawi call upon his fellow Muslims to “enjoy the good and forbid the evil”. All over the World the Ummah of Prophet and Ilyas Kandhlawi’s followers spread “the message of Allah”.
The current Amir Maulana Saad Kandhlawi, is the grandson of the founder. Nizamuddin Markaz is the central headquarters and it has a Sura Council, which is largely an advisory council with different national units and national headquarters. It’s followers divided themselves into small Jammats and travel frequently across the world to spread the message of Islam to Muslim houses. During this travel, they stay in local Mosques.
