Moulana Rabey Hasani Nadwi, a world-renowned Islamic scholar and President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, April 13, at the age of 94, He was a well-respected figure in the Muslim community in India and had contributed immensely to the fields of Islamic education, jurisprudence, and interfaith dialogue. He was a founding member of the Muslim World League, who uphold the rights of the Muslim community in India.
He was frequently named one of the world’s 500 Most Influential Muslims. Nadvi was born in 1929 and had been suffering from a prolonged illness. He died at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Uloom in Daliganj. He was the nephew of author and reformer Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi.
He was the one of the guardians of World Amir Hazrat Ji Ra’abe Muhammad Sa’ad Kandhlawi db. Ya Allah grant him the highest place in paradise.
