A short brief about Sopore Fruit Mundi: It is the largest wholesale fruit market in Kashmir, and the second-largest in Asia. Indian 75 per cent apple produce comes from Kashmir. This Fruit Mundi is considered the backbone of J&K’s economy. Around 50 lakh people from 12 lakh families are directly or indirectly involved in apple trade.
