আমরা শাসক না দাঈ?

হযরত জি মাওলানা সাদ দামাত বারাকাতুহু একবার একটি বয়ানে বর্ণনা করছিলেন যে, ভারতের একটি রাজ্যের একজন দায়িত্বশীল ভাই তার ব্যক্তিগত উদ্দেশ্যে আমেরিকা ভ্রমণ করেছিলেন। সেই রাজ্যের অন্য দায়িত্বশীল ভাইরা ফোন করে উক্ত ভাইকে ভারতে ফিরে আসতে বললেন যে তিনি কোন মাসোয়ারা ছাড়াই আমেরিকা সফরে গেছেন। তাই রাজ্যের দায়িত্বশীলদের ফয়সালা তার ফিরে আসা উচিত।

হজরতজী বলেন, আমেরিকাতে ভ্রমনে থাকা ভাই এতই বিরক্ত হয়েছিলেন যে, তাকে টেলিফোনে ফোন করে হযরতজীর কাছ থেকে পরামর্শ নিতে হয়েছিল। হযরতজী বললেন, আমি ঐ রাষ্ট্রের দায়িত্বশীল ভাইদের ডেকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, আপনারা কি শাসক না দাঈ? তিনি খুরুজে গেলে আপনাদের সংগে মাসোয়ারা করে যেতেন কিন্তু তিনি তো তার ব্যক্তিগত কাজে আমেরিকা গেছেন, তাতে আপনাদের করার কি আছে? হযরতজী বলেন, “এই মনোভাব আমাদের নয় শাসকদের মানায়।”

আমাদের কাজে কেউ নিয়ম বা Rules নির্ধারণ করে না, আমাদের নিয়ম হল উসুল। তাই মাওলানা ইউসুফ রহমতুল্লাহি আলাইহি কাজের নিয়মাবলী বা Rules লিখতে অস্বীকৃতি জানান এবং তিনি বলেন আমি হায়াতুস সাহাবা লিখব এবং এটি হবে কাজের নিয়ম। এই কাজের কমতি, খারাপ ও ঘাটতিগুলোর মধ্যে একটি হল আপনি মানুষকে শাসন করতে এবং হুকুম দেওয়ার জন্য এই কাজে আছেন মনে করা। কাজটি আপনার নিজের এসলাহ বা সংস্কারের জন্য। দাওয়াতের কাজই মানুষের সংস্কারের কাজ। এ কারণেই আল্লাহ তাঁর নবীকে নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন নিজের তাকলীফ করতে, অন্যদের নয়। لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ وَحَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

এ ধরনের আচরণ ইজতেমাইয়াতকে নষ্ট করে দেয়। ইজতেমাইয়াত ছাড়া আল্লাহর নুসরত বা সাহায্য আসবে না। মাওলানা ইউসুফ বলেন, “যদি আপনার ইজতেমাইয়াত না থাকে তাহলে আপনার ইবাদত আসমান পর্যন্ত পৌঁছিয়ে আল্লাহর সাহায্য নামিয়ে আনার জন্য যথেষ্ট হবে না“। আল্লাহ আমাদের ইজতেমাইয়াতকে কবুল করুন।

Are we rulers or Daa’is?

Hazrat Ji Maulana Sa’d Daamat Barakaatuhu narrated once in a bayaan that one of the responsible brothers in one of the states of India traveled to America for personal purposes, The responsible brothers of that state started calling the brother that he left without Mashoora and without there Faisal hence he should come back. Hazrat said the brother was so disturbed that He had to call him on the telephone to seek advice. Hazrat said, “I called the responsible brothers of the state and asked them, are you Rulers or Daa’is? if he is going for khuruj you can make mashoora about him but he is going on his personal errands what does that have to do with you?

Hazrat said, “We tell the brothers you are not listening to us, you have to listen to us” Hazrat said this attitude fits the rulers not us.

No one sets rules in our work, the rules are the Usool. That’s why Maulana Yusuf Rahmatullahi alaihi refused to write down the rules of the work and he said I’ll write Hayatus Sahaba and it’ll be the rules of the work. One of the deficiencies is to think you are in this work to rule people and give commands. The work is for your reformation. People’s reformation is in the work. That’s why Allah commanded his Nabi to make taklif of himself and not others. لَا تُكَلَّفُ إِلَّا نَفْسَكَ وَحَرِّضِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (you are not held responsible except for yourself. And encourage the believers).

Such behaviors ruin Ishtimaa’iyat. Without Ishtimaa’iyat Allah’s Nusrat (help) will be farfetched. Maulana Yusuf said, “If you do ibaadat until it reaches the heavens, it won’t be enough to bring down the Nurat (the help of Allah) if you do not have Ishtimaa’iyat”.
