Today is the first day (From November 10-12, 2023) in South America, the Caribbean nation of Guyana’s Jord Ijtema 2023. Guyana is divided into three counties – Essequibo, Demerara and Berbice. Alhamdulillah, through the grace and mercy of Allah, the Darul Uloom Trinidad and Tobago Madrasa’s Top Islamic Scholar Hazrat Maulana Abdul Salaam db is participating. All three counties about 400 Ahabab are attending at the # 78 Mosque, Berbice, Guyana 🇬🇾, the first Masjid in Guyana, which was built in 1863. There are about 130 Masjid in Guyana.
Guyana’s Muslims total 50,600 in Guyana, making up 7% of the national population. Even a smaller percentage of Muslims but Muslims contribute to all sections of Guyanese society.
