The 57th Bishwa Ijtema – the second-largest congregation of Muslims – ended on Sunday with Akheri Munajat. Tabligh News 24 Reports.
Under the guidance of Maulana Yusuf, the son of esteemed World Tablighi Amir Maulana Muhammad Saad Kandhalvi, conducted the prayer from 11:15am to 11:43am.
The final duaa event is not just a spiritual zenith but also a demonstration of international Muslim solidarity, with participants fervently seeking divine mercy and global peace.
Prior to the Munajat, attendees were reminded of the six core principles of the Tabligh Jamaat, focusing on belief, action, and the invitation to Islam, reinforcing the spiritual underpinnings of the gathering.
Some Highlights:
(1) Participants of the second phase came to the venue from dawn and occupied surrounding roads, highways and footpaths covering the 160-acre main ground.
(2) On this occasion, traffic was stopped in Tongi and surrounding areas from midnight on Saturday (Feb 10). Traffic was remain closed on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway from Tongi to Bhogra Bypass in Gazipur and from Abdullahpur to Bypile in Ashulia.
(3) More over Million people were attending across the country as well as 65 foreign countries. More over 10,000 foreign guests were attending.
(4) People are getting back home on special buses and trains that were arranged for Akheri Munajat.
(5) Security at the event is stringent, with a significant presence of law enforcement and the elite Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) ensuring the safety of the devout amidst this massive gathering.
(6) Tragically, this phase witnessed the loss of seven lives, adding to the solemnity of the gathering and the heartfelt prayers for mercy.
