The Ministry of Home Affairs has called a meeting of determine the date for the upcoming Bishwa Ijtema.

The meeting is scheduled for 10:30am on Monday in the conference room of the ministry. The meeting will be chaired by Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. Both sides of Tabligh Jammat will attend. Main discussions will focus on setting the date for the Bishwa Ijtema, maintaining law and order, ensuring overall security for the event, and other relevant matters.

Since 2018, the first phase of Bishwa Ijtema is typically attended by the followers of Maulana Zubair, while the second phase is attended by followers of Maulana Saad Kandhalvi from Delhi, India.

Biswa Ijtema of the Tablighi Jamaat has been held since 1967 on the banks of Turag, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
