Alhamdulillah. In Islam, Mashwara, is a crucial principle emphasized in the Quran and Sunnah (Prophet’s teachings). It refers to the act of seeking advice and counsel from others, especially in matters of collective importance or where diverse opinions are beneficial. The Quran emphasizes the importance of seeking counsel with others, particularly in matters of significance, both religious and worldly, to avoid errors and make wise choices. This principle is highlighted in Surah Ash-Shuraa (42:38), which describes the believers as those “whose affairs are decided by mutual consultation”.
