World Ijtema @ Bishwa Ijtema brings together Muslim believers all over the World to Tongi, Bangladesh. The three-day event is organized by the Tablighi Jamaat, under the guidelines of World Tablighi Markaz Nizamudidin, India.
After the Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj), it is considered one of the largest Muslim gatherings in the world.
Since 1966, Muslims from Bangladesh and more than other 70 countries have congregated at Tongi’s 190-acre venue along the banks of the Turag River, Bangladesh.
The last World Ijtema, 52nd Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation, concluded on 22nd January (Sunday), 2017 with “Akheri Munajat” on the banks of Turag River at Tongi, Bangladesh. Tablighi Jamaat’s World Amir Hazratji Maulana Mohammed Sa’ad Kandhalovi conducted the Akheri Munajat that started at 11:10 am and ended at 11:43 am on 22nd January, 2017. At least two million Muslims, including some 7,000 from 70 other countries, took part in the final Dua.
The 53rd World Ijtema 2018 was postponed by International Conspiracy. Since then the World Ijtema, lost its long tradition!
After 4 long years later, it seems like Malaysian National Ijtema going to be the Venue of World Ijtema.
Though it’s not the World Ijtema, even though about 70 countries Tablighi followers around the world will participating in Malaysia, between October 20-30, 2022. More than 1000 Ulama from abroad and thousands and thousands followers are on the way to Malaysia.
It was advised that those who attend from abroad, don’t participate in Malaysian National Ijtema’s.
After World Markaz Nizamuddin, Malaysia is becoming the second busiest places for the followers and also have a chance to be the Venue of “Upcoming World Ijtema.”
Malaysia is ready to welcome the Amir of the world! Bangladesh is going to lose the World Ijtema! Time has come for Bangladeshis to learn a lesson for the brutality of 2018.
World Muslims have been waiting for last 4 years to see beloved Hazratji and hear his advice.
