Last week on Monday, three Muslims passengers (with beard) were shot dead by a railway police officer on a train, identified as (1) Abdul Kader Bhanpurwala (60), (2) Sadar Mohammed Hussain, (3) Asghar Abbas Ali (35). After killed those three Muslims, railway police standing near dead body of Muslims and claiming to vote for Modi and Yogi if you’re want to stay in India, this country is for Hindus.

“If you want to live and vote in Hindustan [India], I am telling you, it’s only Modi and Yogi,” he was heard saying, referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh state Yogi Adityanath, in one of the videos verified by Al Jazeera.

Hindu nationalist leaders including PM Modi called on followers to take up arms against the country’s Muslim minority.

As a result, on Monday of this week, Hindu extremists started violence in neighboring areas including Nuh Mewat, India.

Hindu Extremists roamed the streets, setting fire to scrap shops and vandalising small eateries, most of which belonged to Muslims.

This comes as Hindu far-right groups aligned with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been campaigning against Friday prayers in Gurugram, located in Haryana state. The Anjuman mosque was one of the few places officially recognised to hold prayers. Hindus Extremists torched and opened fire at a mosque & killed 19-year-old Imam Maulana Saad. At least four Muslims were killed in the clashes in Nuh district. Authorities have suspended internet services in the area and banned any gatherings.

Anti-Muslim sentiment has been rising in Hindu-majority India under Prime Minister Modi, a Hindu nationalist. But recent calls to violence are shocking in their extremity, experts say, going beyond hate speech to advocate ethnic cleansing.

Since Modi consolidated power with his re-election in 2014, Muslims in India — who make up about 14 percent of the population, have faced increased violence, discrimination and government persecution. Attacks from Hindu nationalists have ranged from property destruction and the disruption of religious services to deadly lynch mobs.
